Life Coaching FAQs

I’ve completed multiple rigorous life‑coaching training programmes and bring many years of experience through my careers previous to coaching in childcare and recruitment supporting parents, families, professionals in achieving meaningful change. I’m also a step‑parent raising teenagers, which gives me a deeper, real‑life understanding of the challenges and dynamics many families face.

Ultimately, though, it’s my personal qualities that shape the coaching experience. I’m warm, friendly, and easy to talk to, with a strong ability to listen deeply, communicate clearly, and empower people. I genuinely want the best for my clients, and to help them grow.


Coaching is not counselling, and it’s not advice‑giving — it’s a collaborative, empowering process that helps people grow into the version of themselves they want to be. Counselling will focus predominantly on your past while Coaching concentrates on the present (where you are now) and the future (where you want to be)


I love seeing clients face‑to‑face, and I have a purpose‑built coaching space in the garden of my home designed to feel calm, comfortable, and private. If virtual sessions are more convenient for you, I’m equally happy to offer online coaching — whatever best supports your preferences and lifestyle.


Coaching sessions last between one hour and 90 minutes. To get the most from your four‑ or eight‑week programme, I recommend meeting weekly at a consistent day and time. This helps build momentum, focus, and steady progress throughout your coaching journey.


Family sessions follow a clear structure, but each one is shaped by you and what you need on the day. A typical session includes a gentle check‑in, setting the focus for our time together, and guided exploration through questions, reflection, and supportive challenge. We’ll also introduce tools and strategies where helpful, all within a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We finish each session with key takeaways and simple next steps so you leave feeling clear and grounded. 

For older teens, the coaching programme follows a structured four‑week coaching plan, which also combines tools and activities that build confidence, awareness and practical skills.


Confidentiality is a top priority. It’s important that you — or your child — feel relaxed, comfortable, and able to trust the space so you can get the most from our sessions.

No information is shared outside our work together without your written permission (for example, for testimonials). Personal data is stored securely and deleted after six months.

The older teen programme is designed with both teens and parents in mind. Parents are encouraged to join the complimentary discovery call to meet me and learn how the coaching will work. You’ll also receive a Parent Guide explaining the programme in more detail and offering guidance on how to best support your teen.

All coaching sessions with teens are confidential and would not be discussed with parents unless the teen gives permission. I am fully insured as a coach and DBS‑checked.
